HIQA is the Health Information and Quality Authority.

It is the job of HIQA to make health and social care services in Ireland better.

HIQA has written National Standards for residential services for people with a disability.

HIQA staff visit Cope Foundation’s residential services to talk to staff, people living in the services and their families.

HIQA staff spend time in each centre inspecting them.

Inspections help to make sure Cope Foundation is reaching the National Standards.
